To join National Defence Academy (NDA), you need to follow the below steps:
Eligibility: To be eligible for NDA, you need to be an unmarried male and have completed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics. You must also meet the physical and medical standards set by the Indian Army.
Examination: The NDA entrance exam is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The exam consists of two parts – Mathematics and General Ability Test.
Application: You can apply for the NDA exam online on the UPSC’s official website (www.upsc.gov.in) during the application period.
Selection Process: Candidates who clear the written exam will be called for an interview conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB). The SSB will assess the candidates’ physical and mental abilities, leadership qualities, and other personality traits.
Training: If you are selected, you will undergo a three-year training program at the National Defence Academy (NDA), Pune. After completing the training, you will be commissioned as an officer in the Indian Army.
Note: The selection process for NDA is very competitive and only a limited number of candidates are selected. It is essential to have a good academic record, be physically fit, and have strong leadership qualities.
