What is Peposition ?

A preposition is a word that shows the relationship between a noun or pronoun and other words in a sentence. It typically indicates the location, direction, time, or manner in which the action of a sentence occurs. Prepositions are usually short words such as in, on, at, to, from, for, with, and by. They are important in creating sentences that are clear and easy to understand, as they help to clarify the relationships between different elements of a sentence. For example, in the sentence “The cat is on the mat,” the preposition “on” shows the relationship between the cat and the mat, indicating that the cat is located on top of the mat.
